Initial Gas Assessment

CCN1 - Initial assessment takes the form of practical assignments and multiple choice question papers. 

Initial assessment covers:

• Gas safety regulations and other relevant legislation
• Combustion, relevant pressures and gas rates
• Gas pipe work
• Tightness testing and purging, including low and medium pressure
• Chimney systems recognition and testing
• Ventilation
• Gas controls
• Flue gas analysis

This package includes:  

• CCN1
• CENWAT1
• HTR
• CKR
• MET1 

CCN1 must have been held for a minimum of 6 months before any other elements can be completed (This applies to newly Gas Safe Registered engineers only).
